1993
On January 9, 1993, Hanoi General Import-Export Company Limited (GELEXIMCO) was established under the Decision of the Prime Minister and Hanoi People's Committee with a charter capital of 3 billion VND.
1996
Participated in a joint venture to produce Honda auto and motorbike spare parts in Vietnam. Marked the first successful joint venture cooperation between Vietnam and Japan.
1999
Chairman of the Board of Directors - General Director Vu Van Tien received the Red Star Award (Award honoring young Vietnamese entrepreneurs for the first year).
2001
On June 13, 2001, GELEXIMCO increased its charter capital to 50 billion VND, cooperated with LILAMA Group to invest in the Thang Long Factory project with a total investment of up to 350 million USD.
2003
Honored to be awarded the Third Class Labor Medal for outstanding achievements in activities, contributing to the cause of building socialism and protecting the Fatherland.
2004
On July 30, 2004, the Company's charter capital increased to 150 billion VND.
2007
Converted from Company Limited to Joint Stock Company. By this time, the total charter capital has increased to 1,230 billion VND.
2008
Honored to be awarded the Second Class Labor Medal for outstanding achievements in activities, contributing to the cause of building socialism and protecting the Fatherland.
2010
On June 30, 2010, GELEXIMCO increased its charter capital to 2,000 billion VND.
2011
On June 7, 2011, GELEXIMCO officially increased its charter capital to 6,000 billion VND.
2012
Honored to be awarded the Second Class Labor Medal by the State for outstanding achievements in activities, contributing to the cause of building socialism and protecting the Fatherland.
2017

2018
Thang Long Thermal Power Plant under the Group has officially operated commercial electricity.
2019
On June 14, 2019, Geleximco increased its charter capital to VND 9,600 billion.
2020
Total revenue of the Group reached 18,570 billion VND.

2023
Celebration of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of GELEXIMCO Group.
2024
Establishing a joint venture company with Chery Automobile Group, planning to build a factory with a capacity of 200,000 vehicles per year at Hung Phu Industrial Park, Tien Hai, Thai Binh. Chairman Vu Van Tien is honored to receive the First-Class Labor Medal.

Geleximco has sponsored facilities and equipment for hospitals: Organ Transplantation Center of Viet Duc Hospital, Facility No. 2 of Hanoi Medical University Hospital, Hoang Mai Covid Hospital; Thai Binh Hospital; has donated ambulance cars to Hanoi Medical University Hospital and 3 hospitals of the Ministry of Public Security.
